Po Valley Farm-outs
Northern Petroleum Plc announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Northern Petroleum (UK) Limited, has farmed out three of its Po Valley licences in Italy, namely Savio, Cerasa and Longastrino, to Avobone Italy S.r.l., an Italian subsidiary of the Indofin Group, a private global investment company.

Operations Update
Following completion of the profitable sale of reserves, proprietary data and know-how to Dyas B.V. for a consideration of €41million whilst still achieving a 26.5% increase year on year in independently assessed proven and probable reserves to the level of 76.5 million barrels of oil equivalence, Northern has continued to develop its operations throughout Italy, The Netherlands and the UK, where as Operator it is planning eight appraisal and exploration wells and planning to develop eight oil and gas fields.

Award of Fifth Italian Licence in Southern Adriatic Sea
Northern Petroleum Plc announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, Northern Petroleum (UK) Limited (“Northern” or “the Company”), has been advised of the preliminary award of offshore Italian licence d60F.R-.NP, covering 742 km². Northern has been invited to prepare the required environmental impact study which work will now commence.

Seismic survey enhances offshore Sicily projects

Farmout Agreement
Wholly owned subsidiaries of Northern Petroleum Plc and ATI Oil Plc (“ATI”) have concluded a farmout agreement with Stratic Energy Corporation (“Stratic”) covering the Longastrino and Savio licences in the Po Basin in Italy, subject to the usual governmental and regulatory approvals.

Award of Italian LIcences
Northern is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Northern Petroleum (UK) Limited (“NPUK”), has been advised of the preliminary award of six offshore Italian licences, covering 4,415 sq km, of which it is the operator. The licences confirmed are: d22G.R-.NP, d23G.R-.NP, d24G.R-.NP in the Sicily Channel, d57F.R-.NP and d58F.R-.NP in the Southern Adriatic and d59F.R-.NP Offshore Calabria. Northern will now go ahead to prepare the necessary environmental impact studies on these licences.

Licence Update - Italy
Northern is pleased to advise shareholders that ATI Oil Plc (“ATI”), its joint venture partner in Italy, has today announced the final decree of the Longastrino licence in the Po Valley and the preliminary award of a further three licences in which Northern also has a 50% interest – Gattinara in the Western Po Valley, and offshore west of Sicily, d347C.R-.NP and d21G.R-.NP.
