“…SHARES in Northern Petroleum tumbled 10p to 116p after bad news from the Netherlands. The oil and gas explorer found that there is not enough oil at its Nieuwendijk well to warrant testing costs. It is in talks with a third party to see if the site and well can be used for geothermal energy, but it admitted it is facing a bill of up to £2.6m. Northern Petroleum said it would now focus its Netherlands business on six onshore fields…”

Northern lights up Aim with revenue hike
"LAST year's peak oil prices helped Northern Petroleum, the Aim-listed oil and gas company, yesterday to post an 11 per cent rise in revenue from two of its fields. Northern's Waalwijk and P12 Dutch gas fields contributed revenues of about 6 milli ADVERTISEMENT on (£5.3m) in 2008, up from 5.4m during the previous year..."
