In French Guiana (Guyane) Tullow has a 97.5% interest in the Guyane Maritime licence offshore area, which contains a number of high-impact, high-risk prospects and leads.

In addition to the giant Matamata prospect, mapped in the north-western part of the block, a number of additional leads, analogous to Tullow's Jubilee field in Ghana, have been identified in the southern part of the Block.

A new round of farm out discussions is planned for the early part of 2009 with a view to drilling in 2010.
