The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian A. Hepp to the Board of the Group’s subsidiaries with existing operations in the position of Director of Group Operations. 

Brian has provided Northern with support services in operations since 2003 and has over 23 years of international experience in design, field operations and petroleum field management with Fluor, BP, Talisman and Bitech Petroleum.  In addition, he was previously a director of a privately owned drilling and servicing company which had operations in Africa, North America and Alaska’s North Slope. Most recently he was President of Rocky Mountain Limited, a private consulting company providing upstream oil and gas expertise for operations in Africa, Europe, Russia and the former CIS, including the project manager role for greenfield gas projects in Siberia and Azerbaijan.

Brian holds a Masters Degree in Administration and a Bachelor of Engineering degree.  He is a Registered Engineer in Canada, a Chartered Engineer in the UK and Europe and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Derek Musgrove, Managing Director of Northern, stated:

“We are delighted to have recruited someone with Brian’s experience and track record of bringing projects on-stream and to their full potential. The immediate focus is to develop the Group’s portfolio of discoveries in The Netherlands, which has the gross potential for 3200-5000 barrels of oil per day and 50Mw of electricity. An aggressive timeline for achievement of first production is considered reasonable as much of the necessary infrastructure is already in place and minimal well intervention is required in order to bring product to market.”
