The Directors of Northern Petroleum Plc have agreed to allow Rig. 28 to carry out urgent safety work for another company for the relief of the gas build up in a coal mine. This will therefore slightly delay the anticipated drilling programme start date for the Sandhills-2 well on the Isle of Wight. A new anticipated start date will be announced in due course.

Northern Petroleum had hoped to maintain the anticipated schedule through the delay of another company’s programme but, regrettably, this has not been possible.
