Northern Petroleum Plc announces that its wholly owned subsidiary Northern Petroleum (GB) Limited (“Northern”) has today signed a contract for the provision of all drilling engineering, procurement and project management with Aberdeen Drilling Management Limited (“ADM”) for a planned three well drilling programme.

ADM are a drilling, engineering and project management company with a proven track record in providing highly cost effective and technically experienced operations to Oil and Gas companies. Their specially focused approach is aimed to ensure that operating risks and costs are tightly controlled.

Derek Musgrove, Managing Director, commented,

“Northern are delighted to award this drilling contract to ADM for the drilling of the Company’s first UK onshore well as Operator. The Company will apply for planning consents for the operations in the very near future and, providing there are no significant delays in the granting of those planning permissions, we would hope to construct a site and move the rig onto the Isle of Wight drilling sites prior to the peak holiday season.”
